More About Us
Daylight Children’s Destiny Initiative is located at Bulenga, Wakiso sub county, Wakiso District, Kampala Uganda.
It was started by people with a passion and vision to serve God through serving the community and helping to fight illiteracy which will ultimately address the conditions of poverty and diseases.
One of the projects of the initiative is the school which is targeted at poor and vulnerable communities that cannot afford school fees of the well to-do schools, and who have been prone to dropping out of schools at an early age.
By targeting such communities, the parents will be able to realize the hidden and untapped potential of their children which will provoke them to work hard to support the cause, but also will result into future responsible citizens.
Background
The proprietors, Jason Tumugabe and Winiefredie Tumugabe had a growing passion and eagerness to contribute to the well-being of the disadvantaged, vulnerable and in perpetual lack, by providing them with hope, courage and the bright future, through education.
Jason Tumugabe, the Director and founder of the Initiative has the background of accounting and Finance, while Winniefredie Tumugabe is an educationist and a social scientist, always interested in women’s emancipation but also promoting equal education opportunities for both boys and girls.
