Today our country Uganda continues to face quite a high rate of unemployment. Therefore, Daylight Children’s Destiny Initiative aims at giving skills to children to prepare them to be job ready and job creators. This is aimed at enhancing creativity, productivity, efficiency, financial independence and thus alleviating poverty.

Our development objective is to deliver high-quality, demand-driven skilling programs in target sectors like tailoring, hair dressing, knitting, agriculture among others to children for future sustainability.

Our purpose is to provide high quality skilling and training to children which is linked to labor market needs for specific sectors.

However, in the process of skilling, we suffer from a number of challenges. These include; stigma, policy inconsistency, socio-economic and cultural prejudices, and limited resources and finances.
